Harold, also known as HJ, had been riding Motorcycles for 29 years! He has been an
Endless Mountains HOG member for the past 3 years! HJ and his wife, Rose, take every
chance they get to hop on the ’06 Heritage Classic Custom and travel to destinations
unknown! Next time you see them take a minute to check out the custom Western paint that
makes their Heritage stand out in a crowd! HJ has owned three motorcycles: ‘80 H-D Low
Rider, ’05 Honda Shadow Cruiser and his current ’06 Heritage! He and Rose have an
awesome family-Brandon, Krysta, Michael and a Newfoundland dog named Harley. (“Go
figure!”)
HJ enjoys any and all riding that he can fit in. It doesn’t matter if he is commuting to work for
going on long distance rides…. “Any ride is a good ride!” He also enjoys planning rides for
groups too! “One of the most enjoyable rides I have organized was right in my own
backyard. It was a 3 day ride planned for co-workers from Delaware. We started in Sullivan
County at Rickets Glen State Park with a night at a B&B. The next day we rode through
World’s End State Park and on to Wellsboro with a stop at the Grand Canyon-and of course
dinner. The next day we rode to Watkins Glen, NY for some wine tours and a stay across
from the Tiki Bar. It was a great 3 day weekend and I was never more than 40 miles from my
home!”
HJ has organized several short and long distances rides. He particularly enjoyed the Fallen
Hero’s Ride.
The HOG Chapter has meant a lot to HJ and Rose. He told me that “The people and riding
activities are Great! Even the winter trips in cars and buses. But best of all is being able to
ride with good people!”
Always ready to ride, HJ said he would “Love to go on any trip so, SIGN ME UP! If I can get
off work! Sorry, I still have to pay the bills…..Darn!”
